A Visit to Stonehenge
Above the ancient stones
I heard the skylarks sing
Joy ascending
My soul rising
from the dusty, endless road
to this shimmering timeless moment.
Wings outstretched - riding air
Bringing heaven earthward,
tuning into bluestones
encircling sarsens
like a halo of rainbows.
My heart beats life's rhythm
keeping time at bay.
Above these ancient stones
the skylarks sing.
